Awake? Who, me?
It's called a hemangioma. And you're right: It's getting bigger. But it will resolve itself. They always do. A friend's baby was born with two on his face. Hello again!
When last we left our fearless heroine, she had just arrived home for the first time. These days, Sara is 6.5 lbs, 18 inches long, still wearing mainly preemie size, beating her lingering medical issues into submission, trying to understand why the small grey four-legged person keeps licking her hands and feet, entertaining the family on weekends, and looking good in her new baby fat. What a wonderful thing fat is: It makes the food taste good AND makes the babies look delicious.
For her mom's birthday, Sara took her to the dog park to watch the whippet run and see the big blue wading birds in the pond.
