When last we left our fearless heroine, she had just arrived home for the first time. These days, Sara is 6.5 lbs, 18 inches long, still wearing mainly preemie size, beating her lingering medical issues into submission, trying to understand why the small grey four-legged person keeps licking her hands and feet, entertaining the family on weekends, and looking good in her new baby fat. What a wonderful thing fat is: It makes the food taste good AND makes the babies look delicious.
For her mom's birthday, Sara took her to the dog park to watch the whippet run and see the big blue wading birds in the pond.
So how are Sara and Ruby doing? And you? :)
ReplyDeletewoooooohoooo! Here we go!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Mother Day's you will have!
ReplyDeleteThe pickle has begun practice for the day she gets her first trike. By the time that day comes, she will be the best pedaller within 100 miles. Ruby is depressed while trying to be nice to the pickle, and we are trying to be very kind to him. I am desperately trying to believe that someday, somehow, I will be able to do more than one task / errand per day. So far, not so much,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Lisa. Your energy and commitment are remarkable. You are going to be -- correction, already are -- a terrific parent.
ReplyDeleteSorry we are out of town for Mother's Day, but we WILL celebrate next week when we return! Give the pickle a smooch from us!
ReplyDeletelove,
Mom and Dad
She rules the roost at such an early age. Just imagine how it will be in a few months when she's fully mobile! What a dear, and thanks for having time to restart the blog! Unc C
